Ladies, I get a lot of questions about how I shop at Shein. I was inspired to share some of my top tips and hopefully I can answer some of your questions. Shein is a fast fashion affordable women's clothing, accessories and shoes online retailer. They carry everything!!! Literally I could spend hours looking at their latest arrivals. Shein reached out to me months ago and asked if I wanted to review clothing for my Instagram community. I was excited to try out the clothes because they are affordable, super cute, and very trendy. These pieces were sent to me over a period of 6 months and I am featuring them because these are my favorites and some of these styles are still available. I was not paid by Shein to for a sponsored post, I wanted to simply share my experience with y'all providing my tips. As with any online retailer there is a risk you might not like the items you purchase, and the fit is not there...Shein has an amazing return and exchange policy.
Look for structured pieces. A lot of the clothes will not look the same on your body frame as the size 0 model, so it's important to look for pieces that have structure and look more expensive. Like the red blazer I have I have pictured. Look for clothing that is classy, timeless, and will always be in style. Shein pieces are affordable, but you don't want to buy clothes that looks cheaply made, so I suggest to look for pieces that have weight and structure.
Read the customer reviews. I apply this rule when shopping at all online retailers. Shein has a great resource to read customer reviews on their clothing. I like to read most of the reviews to hear what the other customers had to say about the item. Some of the customers upload pictures, giving a better visual understanding why the item worked or did'nt. What type of body frame do they have? How did it fit them? Does the item run true to size? A lot of clothing from Shein runs small, I suggest reading the reviews and sizing up on most items. I am typically a size small/medium, and most of the items I have from Shein are a size medium and even a few large. I was able to gather that information by looking at the pictures from the other reviewers are seeing how the items fit their body frame.
Always look at the size chart. This is my number one tip when shopping at Shein. Take the time to measure your body frame and order from the size chart. I promise you will save a lot of time, not having to return the items. Shein has a measuring tool that is amazing, so before I order anything I always use it for reference. You want the pieces you fit your body perfectly.
Don't buy pieces that are not for your body frame. I know it's very temping to see an item on your favorite blogger or on the model and want to order that dress, but the reality is all of us have different body frames. I know to stay away from body hugging dresses because my stomach is not my favorite part about my body. I don't want to draw more attention to my tummy area. I look for dresses that are form fitting but the material is thicker. The fit is form fitting on the bust area and flows below the waist. Look at the size model, her height and weight; take that under consideration before placing an order.
If you are not sure about a specific piece send me a DM on Instagram or leave a comment. I would love to answer some of your questions about ordering from Shein. I have ordered from other Chinese based retailers. I'm really impressed with the quality of Shein in comparison to some of the other shops I ordered from Amazon. You are also able to look for reviews and hauls on YouTube to get a better idea how the item actually looks and fits. One important thing to keep in mind is that these items are coming from China. I suggest paying for express shipping and order multiple items, so you are not paying for shipping with each order. I hope my tips were helpful! I linked below some of my favorites from Shein. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have an ongoing relationship with Shein to provide an honest review for y'all sharing these fun and trendy pieces.
